Croydon Mens Shed

Run by Men for Men

Without mates, life for a man can quickly become mundane at least, purposeless at worst. A Men's Shed in the community gives men a place to go. A place where they are made welcome. Where they are not judged.

About Us

The concept of the Men's Shed has grown rapidly throughout Australia. There are over 1000 Mens Sheds Australia wide of which approximately 300 are in Victoria...
Croydon Men's Shed Inc. is run by men for men.
It's for men of all ages 18 to 108 years, young guys, retired blokes, tradies, professionals, dads, singles, granddads, widowers, serving and ex-servicemen, nerds, sporty guys, etc.
We respect one another's differences while enjoying what we have in common. The Shed is for you, whatever your interests.
The Shed provides a meeting place to men who live in and around the Croydon area.

You are welcome to visit us to "CHECK US OUT", even if you are "just curious".

We are located at Building CN5 at the rear of
Swinburne University of Technology 15-20 Norton Rd. Croydon VIC 3136 Australia

The shed is open from 9:30AM every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You are very welcome just to turn up.

What we do.

At the Croydon Men's Shed, we try to cater for all activities that we men might like to do, or at least try out. We have a strong focus on woodworking and cater to a wide range of abilities from beginners to experts. We take great pleasure in providing guidance and support for members who would like to develop their skills in this area. Our well-equipped workshop contains wood and metal lathes, table saws, band and scroll saws and a wide range of manual and powered woodworking tools. Members are encouraged to assist with Shed projects or to follow their own interests. We also try to arrange field trips to other Sheds and places of interest.

Our Other Activities

Coffee Meeting.
We meet at 9:30am for coffee and conversation each Wednesday morning at:-
Ora D'oro  28 Hewish Rd, Croydon on the verandah to enable members and potential members to socialise and have a chat. There is no agenda. Just a chance for a few mates to get together for a yarn. Just turn up.

Walking Group.
Every friday at 8:30am a group of us meet up for a casual walk of about 5-7 km then have a coffee at a local Cafe. Contact us to find out where we will meet this friday to join in.

Join us bi-monthly for our dinner evenings usually at a local pub or club, partners are welcome, but also fine to come alone.
